Massachusetts Health News
The residents of Massachusetts have been encountering a serious dilemma on the issue of whether obtaining a health insurance should be mandatory or not. Massachusetts was the only state that requires its residents to enroll in a health insurance policy. Deadlines are set and if these are not met by a certain individual, a whopping 219 US Dollar tax exemption of that person for the following year will be suspended. As of today, around 200,000 residents have already applied for a health insurance program. But sadly, almost the same number or even twice have not yet enrolled. One concern being raised by the majority is the plan of most state insurers to increase health insurance rates of around 10 to 12 percent for the following year.
